Student Services Building Art Competition

Texas A&M University announced a competition to commission art pieces for its new Student Services building on the main campus. The building is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by October 2019.

The competition was open to artists (or artist teams) to design and fabricate site-specific artworks, in order to have high impact art pieces that will energize the spaces. A jury determined the winning artists.

The winning artists will work with the university, the architects, and the construction firm to finalize their concepts and install the pieces.
