Is there an admission fee?

No. Admission to the Stark Galleries is free.

red ball How often do you change exhibits?

The exhibits change every 6 to 8 weeks, so there is always something different to see when you visit. To see what is on display now, please visit our current exhibitions page.

red ball When are you open?

The Stark Galleries are open Tuesday through Friday from 9 am to 8 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm to 6 pm. The Galleries are closed on Mondays and for University holidays. You can always call ahead to make sure that we are open. The number is (979) 845-6081.

red ball Where are you located?

We are located in the Memorial Student Center on the main campus at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. For specific directions, please see our location and hours page.

red ball Do you have literature or posters for sale on the current exhibits?

The Stark Galleries has a small museum shop where you can buy brochures, catalogs, postcards, posters and t-shirts from current and past exhibits. Not every exhibit we show has materials for sale; often, the literature is provided free of charge to the public.

red ball Is any of the art on display for sale?  

Usually, no. However, some of the contemporary art we show may be for sale. If you are interested in buying, we will provide you with contact information for that artist.

red ball Do you offer tours?  

Absolutely. Our volunteer docents are available to give tours to groups of five or more people. Just call (979) 845-6081 to make the arrangements. Two weeks notice is appreciated.

red ball I would like to volunteer at the Galleries. How can I become a docent?  

New docent training is offered once a year, in October. For an application, contact the Galleries or send e-mail to: uart@stark.tamu.edu To see a docent in action click here.

red ball Can I hold a reception or other event in the galleries?  

The Stark Galleries may be reserved for receptions, lectures, or other events sponsored by University organizations only. Private events, such as wedding receptions, are not permitted.

red ball May I take photographs of the artwork in the Galleries?  

Usually, yes, as long as you do not use a flash. However, some of the exhibits we bring in are so delicate that photography is not permitted at all. We will post signs or you can check at the guard desk if you are not certain.
